The Toyota GT 86 Convertible has been recently spied in South Africa, in a parking lot, with absolutely no camouflage on its body and it its roof down.
After officially confirming the Toyota GT 86 for production just a few weeks ago, the model is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with a help of a spy photo, revealing the drop-top version of the popular Japanese sports car. The image posted above has been taken in South Africa and it’s revealing the Toyota GT 86 with its roof down and with no camouflage on its body.
Rumors are saying that the Toyota GT 86 Convertible will be officially presented to the public next month, during the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, but the carmaker didn’t confirm or deny them just yet. The engine used on the new drop-top GT 86 is expected to remain the same, and this means that the 2.0 liter Boxer unit made by Subaru will continue to power the model, with its 197 HP, sent to the rear-wheel drive through a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission. More details on the Toyota GT 86 Convertible are limited for the moment and will be announced during its debut.
