The Japanese based automaker Toyota has recently announced that the GT 86 sports car has been launched in Malaysia, where the model has a starting price of RM243,000.
According to the car manufacturer, the Toyota GT 86 will be available in just two trim levels, and this will be “separated” just by the transmission which can be either a six-speed manual, offered as standard for RM243,000 or a six-speed automatic for RM249,000. Future owners of the Japanese sports car in Malaysia will also have to choose between six exterior colors when ordering their new rides, like the Orange Metallic, Galaxy Blue Silica, Lighting Red, Sterling Silver Black, Crystal Black Silica and Satin White Pearl, with the latter becoming available for an extra RM800.
The Toyota GT 86 is already available for orders in Malaysia but there is no official date on when deliveries will start in the Asian country. As a small reminder, the Toyota GT 86 is powered, just like its sister car, the Subaru BRZ, by the 2.0 liter four-cylinder petrol engine, with the company’s D-4S direct injection, which is generating a total output of 187 horsepower at 7,000 rpm and it has a peak torque of 151 lb-ft (205 Nm) at 6,600 rpm.
