A new rendering of the Toyota GT 86 is showing the sports car in a completely new body style, a sedan.
The Japanese based automaker Toyota is already known to plan a sedan body style of the GT 86, but before the model in question will hit the market, if it eventually will, we can now get a glimpse on what it may look like and, to be honest, it will still be an attractive ride, with more interior rear legroom and, probably, more space in the boot, making it more practical than the model already available for order at the company’s dealerships.
If it will indeed hit the market, than the Toyota GT 86 Sedan will be powered by the same engine as the two-door version, the 2.0 liter four-cylinder naturally aspirated boxer unit, made by Subaru and fitted with Toyota’s D-4S direct injection system. The total output produced stands at 200 HP and the peak torque is 205 Nm (151 lb-ft), available at 6,600 rpm. The unit is mated to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission and the car is RWD. The 0 to 100 km/h sprint takes 7.6 seconds and top speed stands at 233 km/h (145 mph).
