Toyota is planning to introduce the new GT 86 Sedan Concept to the 2013 Dubai Motor Show, where the model will be officially unveiled for the very first time.
The announcement hasn’t been made official by the Japanese based automaker but the official Facebook page of the 2013 Dubai International Motor Show said that a Toyota GT 86 Sedan Concept will be officially unveiled during the important UAE automotive event. Rumors on Toyota developing such a model have been around for a few weeks but this is the first time when we have something real on the model in question.
The Toyota GT 86 Sedan will ride on the same platform as the standard GT 86 sports car but the wheelbase will be stretched by 100 mm (3.9 in), which will increase space for passengers sitting in the rear. As far as the engine goes, the 2.0 liter unit with four cylinders, producing a total output of 200 HP (149 kW) and 205 Nm (151 lb-ft) of torque, will still be used, but performance will be slightly affected, because of the longer wheelbase and the added weight. A production version of this model is believed to make its public debut during the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, in March.
