The four-door version of the Toyota GT 86 is believed to get a turbocharged engine under its hood, once it will hit the market sometimes in 2016.
The Japanese based automaker Toyota has been talking about the GT 86 Sedan for quite a few years now and it seems that the final production version of the model is nowhere near ready. According to the guys at Motoring, the four-door version of the Toyota GT 86 is said to make its way onto the market sometimes in 2016. Our source is saying that the model in question could use a turbocharged 2.0 liter engine. There are rumors on a hybrid version of the GT 86 too, and the model is also said to gain an AWD variant.
The regular version of the Toyota GT 86 has been introduced back in 2011. The model is currently being assembled in Japan and it’s offered in a two-door body style, with a front-engine and a rear-wheel drive layout. Power is being provided by a four-cylinder 2.0 liter naturally aspirated engine, which is producing a total output of 200 HP (149 kW) at 7,000 rpm and it has a peak torque of 205 Nm (151 lb-ft), available at 6,000 rpm. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) Acceleration takes 7.6 seconds and top speed stands at 233 km/h (145 mph).
