After being revealed just ahead of its official debut at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show, the Japanese based automaker Toyota is highlighting once again its GT 86, by planning to sell it in the UK for a price tag of less than 28.000 GBP.
According to autocar.co.uk, the car manufacturer will bring its GT 86, the production version of the FT-86, in the United Kingdom next summer, and the model will be priced at less than 28.000 GBP. The Toyota GT 86 is one of the most expected sports cars of the year, along with its “brother”, the Subaru BRZ, and after the model has been revealed ahead of its Tokyo Motor Show debut, Toyota managed to place it into the spotlights once again.
The Toyota GT 86 is powered by Subaru’s new horizontally opposed 2.0 liter flat-four boxer engine, being enhanced with the D-4S injection technology, developing a total output of 197 horsepower at 7.000 rpm and having a peak torque of 205 Nm (151 lb-ft) available at 6.600 rpm. The Japanese based automaker says that its latest creation is 4.240 mm long, 1.285 mm high and 2.570 mm wide, being the most compact four-seat sports car on the market.
