The Toyota GT 86 has managed to win the “Best Coupe” in the Scottish Car of the Year after it was voted by the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers.
The all-new Toyota GT 86, along with its over-seas brother the Scion FR-S, and the Subaru BRZ, is one of the most exciting car of the year in its segment and the price set on it makes it affordable to those who want a sports car which was designed to be a sports car, with rear wheel drive and 200 HP. The Toyota GT 86 has managed to impress the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers who have voted it the “Best Coupe” in the Scottish Car of the Year.
Under the hood, the Toyota GT 86 is powered by the same engine as its “sister”, the Subaru BRZ, the 2.0 liter four-cylinder engine, with the company’s D-4S direct injection technology, which is sending the 187 horsepower (7,000 rpm) and the 205 Nm of torque (151 lb-ft at 6,600 rpm) to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. The GT 86 is 4,240 mm long, 1,285 mm tall and 2,570 mm wide. In Europe, prices for the Toyota GT 86 start at 29,990 euros.
