Toyota iQ EV is coming at Geneva image

Toyota announced today that will bring at the Geneva Motor Show the electrified version of Toyota iQ.

The iQ prototype features a newly-developed flat lithium-ion battery that enables the car to travel approximately 105 kilometers (65 miles) on a single charge. The rechargeable iQ could prove to be the next generation of the iQ EV II concept from the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show.

The electric iQ is currently scheduled to go on sale in the US in 2012 alongside the RAV4 EV co-developed with Tesla, but the Japonese automaker is looking at its potential in other markets, including Europe, Japan and China.
