The Japanese based automaker Toyota has recently announced that the iQ GRMN Supercharged concept will be manufactured in a limited edition of just 100 units.
After the Toyota iQ GRMN Supercharged has been officially presented to the public in a world premiere at the 2012 Tokyo Auto Salon, the model is once again placed into the spotlights, this time with the car manufacturer announcing its production. According to Toyota, the iQ GRMN Supercharged concept car will be made in a limited edition of just 100 units, and besides its mechanical modifications, the model will also get a more aerodynamic body kit, new exhaust system, more efficient braking system and a sporty interior, with leather wrapped sports steering wheel, aluminum pedals, sport seats, leather wrapped gear shift lever and sporty floor mats.
While the concept car was powered by the standard 1.33 liter supercharged engine, which was developing a total output of 128 horsepower and 180 Nm of torque (133 lb-ft), the production version of the Toyota iQ GRMN will be powered by… exactly the same unit which will generate exactly the same output and exactly the same torque torque figure. Toyota didn’t announce yet the starting price for the production version of the iQ GRMN and we don’t even know on what markets this model will be launched.
