Toyota has recently announced a series of upgrades for the new RAV4 across the Old Continent, which should make the model more interesting to its future customers.
According to the car manufacturer, the new generation of the Toyota RAV4 has received some upgrades in Europe, like the new exterior and interior color trim designs, the Dark Brown Metallic exterior finish, the new 18-inch alloy wheels with 10-spoke design, the Black, Grey, Terracotta and new Beige interior trims, the Toyota Touch 2 multimedia system, Smart Entry and Start system, 9-speaker JBL Premium sound system, power operated tailgate, the Rear Cross Traffic Alert, the new Geneva Premium Pack and much more.
Changes applied to the Toyota RAV4 in Europe will not stop here as the popular crossover has also received a new diesel engine with the Integrated Dynamic Drive System AWD technology. This is coming as a 2.0 liter D-4D turbo diesel, being Euro 5 compliant, producing a total output of 122 HP at 6,000 rpm and 310 Nm (228 lb-ft) of torque, available between 1,600 rpm and 2,400 rpm. The unit is mated to a six-speed manual transmission which is sending power to the AWD. No fuel economy figures have been released yet but on the FWD version, these stand at 4.9L / 100km and 127 g/km of CO2 emissions.
