Toyota of Europe announced today, June 11th that its newly relocated Toyota Parts Centre España (TPCES) started operations.
The centre is located in Illescas at about 40km of Madrid and houses about 290,000 different parts serving 166 Lexus and Toyota dealerships in Spain. The service coverage for the Toyota Parts Centre España has increased to 75%, the Catalonia region being also included.
TPCES is part of the 14 Toyota Parts Logistics Centres located in Europe, aimed at supplying parts for the total of 12.8 million Toyota and Lexus vehicles which are now in operation on European roads. TPCES was build according to Toyota’s lean concept and will set the new standard for the company’s regional parts depots in Europe. TPCES makes sure that more than 96% of the requested parts are available for delivery when they are ordered.
TPCES relocation begun in March, 2011, when Didier Leroy, Toyota Motor Europe President and CEO, laid the first stone of the main warehouse building. For TPCES relocation the company invested 26.7 million euro.
