The Japanese based automaker Toyota has recently announced that the Pixis Epoch has been launched on the local market, with a starting price of 795,000 yen (7,670 euros).
According to the car manufacturer, the Toyota Pixis Epoch will be sold in Japan along with the Pixis Space. The Pixis Epoch is coming with a basic design, measuring 3,395 mm in length, 1,475 mm in width and 1,500 mm in height. Toyota says that the Pixis Epoch in the base entry-level version is sparsely equipped, but in higher trim levels, the model can be equipped with features like the navigations system or automatic air conditioning.
“Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) today launched in Japan the ‘Pixis Epoch’, the second passenger minivehicle to be sold under the Toyota brand. The vehicle will be sold through more than 200 Toyota dealerships nationwide”, as the automaker is saying in its official press release.
Under the hood, the Pixis Epoch is coming with a 600cc engine which is developing a total output of 51 horsepower and it has a peak torque of 60 Nm (44 lb-ft). The unit is mated to a CVT which can send its power to an optional all-wheel drive system. The engine is helping the model to achieve 3.3 liters of fuel every 100 km and emit just 77 g/km of CO2. The Epoch is the company’s second Daihatsu-based minicar.
