A new generation of the Toyota Prius is currently under development and the model in question should make its way onto the market in 2015.
The new generation of the Toyota Prius has been already caught on camera by spy photographers, numerous times, and it seems that the model in question is close to hitting the market because only a year is setting us apart from fully seeing the “green” ride. The announcement hasn’t been made official just yet and it’s actually part of a report published by Automotive News, which is saying that the new Toyota Prius generation will be officially unveiled in 2015.
According to our source, the 2016 Toyota Prius will be riding on the TNGA (Toyota New Global Architecture) and it will receive a revolutionary design both on its outside and in the cabin. The center of gravity of the new Prius will be lower, thanks to the new platform, and this means that the handling will be significantly improved. Fuel economy will be better by 8 to 10 percent than the current version thanks to the impressive 20 percent weight loss. The new Toyota Prius will be produced in Japan. No more details on the model are being known for the moment.
