The hybrid Prius family just got bigger by the Coupe model which will be introduced early next year in UK.
Taking on a conservative design and fitted with blade-like headlights and LED running lights as seen on it, the new Prius Coupe might just be the first Toyota Hybrid to have that “something” which can attract a buyer who isn’t into this segment.
According to the manufacturer the new Coupe, powered by the combination of 1.5 liter petrol engine and an electric motor, will be the most efficient Prius yet. And we are saying “yet” because Toyota also announced the next generation of the four-door Hybrid which can hit the dealerships sometimes next year.
Based on the Prius C Concept presented at the Detroit Motor Show in January this year, the Coupe has a rear-wheel drive platform taken from the next generation of the Lexus GS.
Toyota keeps on surprising us and also announced the debut of a Prius SUV in 2014, which will be based on the RAV4 model.
