Toyota has recently announced its plans to introduce a special Prius in the United States, which will be named the Persona Series.
According to the Japanese based automaker, the Toyota Prius Persona Series has been designed to appeal new buyers which have been described as “style-focused” and the model can be distinguished by its Black Cherry Pearl exterior finish, with either Black or Blizzard Pearl also available, along with the new 17-inch alloy wheels or the special badging. The cabin is adding SoftTEx seats with red stitching and dark chrome trim on the steering wheel, gearshift ring and doors.
“The Prius adds a style-focused Persona Series Special Edition model, adding exterior changes and equipment to a Prius Three to create a distinct visual package”, as the automaker is saying in its official press release.
Just like the standard version of the Toyota Prius, the Persona Series is powered by the same 1.8 liter hybridized four-cylinder engine which is producing a total output of 134 HP (100 kW), allowing the model to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 10 seconds and hit a top speed of 180 km/h (112 mph). The prices of the 2013 Toyota Prius Persona Series have been set at 27,130 USD, 1,365 USD more than the Prius Three.
