The Toyota ProAce will go on sale in the second quarter of 2013 as the Japanese based automaker has recently announced.
According to the car manufacturer, the Toyota ProAce is basically a rebadged Peugeot Expert and the model is coming with a variety Euro 5 compliant diesel engines. The Toyota ProAce is available in two lengths and heights with a payload of up to 1, 200 kg and with a towing capacity of up to two tones. Load capacities of 5m3, 6m3 or 7m3 will be provided by the ProAce, depending on the configuration chosen.
The engine lineup on the Toyota ProAce will be made out of a 1.6 liter unit with 89 HP (66 kW) and 189 Nm of torque (132 lb-ft), mated to a five-speed manual transmission, along with two versions of the 2.0 liter engine, one with 126 HP (94 kW) and 320 Nm of torque (236 lb-ft) and the other with 161 HP (120 kW) and 340 Nm of torque (251 lb-ft), both mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Additional details on the new Toyota ProAce will be announced next year, close to its launch.
