The new Toyota S-FR Concept has been officially unveiled, over the web at the moment, and it will be debuting at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show, at the end of this month.
The concept car is bringing the exterior design of a small sports vehicle and it has the large front grille acting as the main air intake as well, rounded-shaped headlights with the integrated LED daytime running lights, a set of fog lamps and a weirdly shaped rear end, with the same rounded shape for the taillights as well. The side profile is highlighting the sloping roofline, which has been finished in black.
“The concept’s long nose and wide stance make for an archetypal sports car profile, while the familiar roundness of its frame inspires a feeling of closeness. The simple and modern finish of the interior rounds off a design that stresses approachable simplicity while conveying the vehicle’s performance and sporty spirit”, says the automaker in its press release.
The Toyota S-FR Concept can carry up to four people in its small body and it stands at 3,990 mm long, 1,695 mm wide and 1,320 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,480 mm. The interior design is basic and it is adding the power socket, the climate control system, the USB ports, a full digital instrument cluster and just a few buttons. We can also notice the knob for the 6-speed manual transmission but we actually have no clue on what is found under its hood. However, you can take a closer look at it in the photo gallery posted below, ahead of its debut aimed towards the Japanese automotive event.
