Toyota is planning to introduce a Supra Concept in early 2014, during the Detroit Motor Show.
With the new edition of the 2014 North American International Motor Show (NAIAS) in Detroit coming in pretty fast, most carmakers are getting ready for the event and one of these companies is Toyota, which is getting ready to introduce a Supra concept. The announcement hasn’t been made official just yet but according to the guys at Autoblog, the model in question should make its public debut in Detroit, in January, and it will serve as a preview for a brand new sports car, which will sit above the current GT 86.
If we have caught your attention with the Supra name and you’re looking into buying such a model once it will officially hit the market, don’t get your hopes too high because you will have to wait a few years, as the sports car is believed to be launched in 2017, in its final production version. Once it will become available for order, the brand new Toyota Supra is said to gain a 2.5 liter four-cylinder engine under its hood, which will be backed up by an electric motor. Additional details on the model are limited for the moment.
