Toyota to advertise Prius Family with Two-Day Marathon of Silly Records image

Looks like people love silly records – something like how many people can get inside Smart…

Now looks like Toyota will use this type of method instead of using traditional advertising methods. The company will start a two-day marathon of creating silly records in or around the vehicles that will be streamed live on the internet.

The overall goal is to set 200 records in two days, though they’re not the records you might be thinking of. And here are some of their ideas: largest mural created during a three-hour Prius Plug-in Hybrid Vehicle Charge, ” “most pool noodles fit inside the cargo area of a Prius V, ” and “farthest launch of a gumdrop using the windshield wiper of a Prius.”

Now, to validate the records, the company is partnering with the Universal Records DataBase. The URDB will officiate and verify the records set by Toyota’s crack team of “record-setting experts” and post video of every record on a dedicated page of their website for others to attempt to break.

The “show” or “Live, Interactive Record-Setting Spectacle,” as Toyota calls it will take place on March 30 and 31.
