The Toyota Aqua Air Concept has been officially unveiled ahead of its public debut scheduled for next week, during the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show.
Toyota’s newest creation is named the Aqua Air Concept and some say that it’s previewing a future production model which might be the Prius C Convertible. The model in question is aimed towards the B-segment and it stands at 3,990 mm in length (157 in), 1,690 mm in width (66.5 in) and at 1,440 mm (56.7 in) in height, riding on a wheelbase measuring 2,550 mm (100.4 in).
The Toyota Aqua Air Concept is taking its power from a 1.5 liter Atkinson cycle engine, the same one used on the Aqua G Sports, backed up by an electric motor. The total output produced by the assembly stands at 100 HP (74 kW) and it’s being sent to the wheels through a CVT (continuously variable transmission). The average fuel consumption in the model stands at just 2.82 liters every 100 km (100 mpg UK / 83.4 mpg US). Additional details on the Toyota Aqua Air Concept are limited for the moment and will be announced during the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, next week.
