The Japanese based automaker Toyota has recently pulled the wraps off the 2014 Vios in a premiere, during the 2014 Bangkok Motor Show.
After it was officially announced for the Thai automotive event just a day ago, the 2014 Toyota Vios is finally unveiled, showing a styling familiar to the Verso or to the Yaris. The model in question is getting projector beam headlights, chrome trim, 15- or 16-inch alloy wheels and some other tweaks in the top of the line version, while the entry-level is more “dull”.
“The Vios is not only exclusively developed for Thai customers, but also for Growing Market customers. Thailand is a leading global production hub for new Vios exports to over 80 countries around the world”, said the TMC managing officer, Kyoichi Tanada.
The 2014 Toyota Vios is 4,410 mm long, 1,700 mm wide and 1,475 mm tall, riding on a 2,550 mm wheelbase. The “goodies” list includes metallic accents, MP3, USB, AUX, four-speaker audio system and more. Power to the model is being provided by a 1.5 liter four-cylinder engine, which is producing a total output of 109 HP (80 kW) and it has a peak torque of 141 Nm (104 lb-ft). The unit is mated to a five-speed manual transmission in standard or to a four-speed automatic in more expensive versions.
