Toyota has recently launched the Vitz GRMN Turbo in Japan, where the model’s production will be limited to 200 units and its price will be set at 2,700,000 YEN.
According to the Japanese based automaker, the Toyota Vitz GRMN Turbo has been based on the locally badged Yaris and it was previewed by a Concept unveiled at the Tokyo Auto Salon. Toyota says that the new Vitz GRMN Turbo is coming as a three-door hatchback with an aggressive front bumper, LED infused headlights, new side skirts, a massive rear diffuser, sports exhaust system, 17-inch BBS aluminum wheels, GRMN badging and a Super White II or Black Mica finish.
Changes in the cabin are limited and they include sports seats, a three-spoke steering wheel with red stitching, alloy pedals, special floor mats, revised instrumentation and some other minor tweaks. The Toyota Vitz GRMN Turbo is powered by a 1.5 liter turbocharged engine, which is producing a total output of 152 HP (112 kW) and 206 Nm of torque (151 lb-ft). The unit is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The Vitz GRMN Turbo is also getting high performance braking system and sports suspension. Prices for the model will be set at 2,700,000 (21,000 EUR) and production will be limited to 200 units. The carmaker will take orders on August 25.
