Toyota has recently announced that two special editions of the Yaris, named the Edition and the Trend, have been launched in the United Kingdom.
According to the Japanese based automaker, the Toyota Yaris Edition and the Toyota Trend models are coming with smoked rear windows which contrast with the Tyrol Silver and Cirrus White paintwork and this, along with the blacked-out C-pillars, is creating what the carmaker is describing as a “floating roof effect”. Toyota is saying that the Yaris Edition is based on the T2 entry-level grade which is adding some sporty features such as the extra chrome interior trim, the leather trimmed gear knob, the tachometer or 15-inch Podium alloy wheels.
The Toyota Yaris Edition is being powered by the company’s 1.0 liter petrol engine which is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The model is available in both three and five-door body styles and prices for it start at 11,695 GBP. The Toyota Yaris Trend is based on the sportier SR trim level and this is coming with chrome tailpipe trim, 16-inch Podium alloy wheels and a 1.33 liter petrol engine, offered with a choice of the six-speed manual or the CVT automatic Multidrive S, available in the five-door version only. The Toyota Yaris Trend starts at 13,795 pounds.
