The racing version of the new Mazda MX-5 generation has been officially unveiled and it will be competing in a global cup racing series.
The track ready Mazda MX-5 has been introduced. The model in question is coming with some interesting tweaks made to it which will put some distance between this and the street legal variant, which is already available to order. The exterior design of the popular roadster has been drastically modified in this track version model as this will be competing in the Global Cup series in North America, Europe and Asia, in the 2016 season, which will be ending with a Global Shootout, at the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
The Mazda MX-5 pictured below will be coming with upgraded suspension system, with better brakes, with improved steering, with safety equipment and some extra power added to the 2.0 liter SKYACTIV-G four-cylinder engine. The racer will be sold by a single supplier, a first time for the car manufacturer. More details on the model, including its output, performance or price are currently limited for the moment and will be announced probably over the next few months.
