Tramontana has recently announced that the XTR model will get an impressive 888 horsepower and the supercar will hit the market at the end of the year.
For those of you who know nothing about Tramontana we will tell you that this is a local Spanish automaker which is now working on a new project, named the XTR, which will be the direct successor of the R model. Tramontana says that the new XTR will come as a two seater but not in the conventional way and the driver will be positioned in front of the passenger and both of them will be enclosed in a glass bubble.
The Tramontana XTR will be powered by a huge Mercedes-Benz sourced 5.5 liter bi-turbo V12 engine, which will be placed in the rear, and will produce an impressive 888 horsepower and 722 lb-ft of torque (980 Nm). All this power will be sent to the rear wheels through an “ultra-rapid competition gearbox”. The Tramontana XTR will weigh around 3,000 lbs (1,360 kg) and it will be able to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.6 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 214 mph (344 km/h). The Tramontana XTR will be priced at 514,000 USD (420,000 euros) and it will hit the market at the end of 2012.
