U.S.: 2014 Mazda6 starts at $21,675

The 2014 Mazda6 will go on sale in the United States in January and the model will become available to its future customers from 21,675 USD, including the destination charge.

According to the Japanese based automaker, the 2014 Mazda6 Sedan will go on sale in the U.S. next month and the model will be powered by the new Skyactiv 2.5 liter I-4 gasoline engine, which is producing a total output of 184 HP and it has a peak torque of 185 lb-ft. The sport models are mated to a six-speed manual or to a six-speed automatic, while the Touring and the Grand Touring will come only with the six-speed automatic.

A 2.2 liter Skyactiv Diesel four-cylinder will join the options list at a later time, and, even if no power figures have been announced yet, it is know that in European models, the unit is producing 173 HP and 310 lb-ft of torque. The base version of the 2014 Mazda6 Sport is coming with automatic-off headlights, LED taillights, power mirrors with integrated turn signals, dual chrome exhaust tips, tilt steering wheel, cloth seats, manually adjustable driver’s seat, push-button start, six-speaker audio system, Bluetooth, 5.8-inch color infotainment, rearview camera, HR radio, Pandora internet radio and more.

The top of the line 2014 Mazda6 Grand Tourer, which is becoming available from 30,500 USD, is getting the Touring Technology Package along with the heated front seats, power passenger seat, leather seating, driver memory seat, adaptive HID lights, LED daytime running lights, fog lights, radar guided cruise control, forward obstruction warning, 19-inch alloy wheels and more. The Advanced Package is adding the High Beam Control, the lane departure warning and the regenerating braking system.
