Toyota’s luxury brand Lexus has officially pulled the wraps off the 2016 ES, in the U.S.-specification, after seeing another version of it not that long ago.
The 2016 Lexus ES is the newest addition to the company’s lineup over-seas. The model in question is looking sportier than its predecessor and it is coming with the standard LED headlights flanking the new front grille, the L-shaped taillights, a new rear bumper, rectangular exhaust tips finished in chrome and a revised color palette which now includes the Eminent White Pearl, the Autumn Shimmer, the Caviar and the Nightfall Mica.
The vehicle has also received the Lexus Safety System+ Package, which is adding the High-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, the Intelligent High Beam headlights and the Pre-Collision System. The interior design of the car is coming with a few changes too and this includes the revised steering wheel, the silver-trimmed piano black door switch plates, the soft-touch materials, the 10-way power front seats, the Piano Black, Dark Mocha and matte Bamboo trim options, automatic climate control, 7- or 8-inch display for the Display Audio system and so on. Under its hood, the 2016 Lexus ES 350 is making use of a 3.5 liter V6 engine, rated at 268 HP (199 kW), connected to a 6-speed automatic transmission which is sending power to the FWD. The 2016 ES 300h has a 2.5l four-cylinder Atkinson cycle engine and an electric motor, rated at 200 HP (149 kW).
