Jaguar has officially introduced the online configurator for its newest model, the XE, in the United States.
Americans looking forward towards the brand new Jaguar XE will be glad to know that they can now configure their future rides, but there is a catch to it, because the company will deliver the first units of the entry-level sedan in 2016, meaning that the vehicle will come in the 2017 model year. The Jaguar XE has been officially unveiled a month ago and it has recently made its public debut during the 2014 Paris Motor Show, last week. The model in question is aimed towards rivals such as the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the BMW 3-Series, the Audi A4 or the Cadillac ATS, amongst others.
The engine lineup in the Jaguar XE includes the 2.0 liter Ingenium turbo diesel, rated at 163 HP (120 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque, by a 2.0L turbo diesel with 180 HP (132 kW) and 430 Nm (317 lb-ft) of torque. The petrol range includes the 2.0 liter turbocharged with 200 HP (147 kW) and 280 Nm (206 lb-ft) of torque or 240 HP (177 kW) and 340 Nm (250 lb-ft). The range topper is a 3.0L V6 with 340 HP (250 kW) and 450 Nm (331 lb-ft).
