The very first images and details with the U.S. market aimed Fiat 500L have recently hit the web, ahead of the model’s official debut at the 2013 Detroit Motor Show.
The images posted below might not be official but even so, they are revealing the United States version of the Fiat 500L, with the MPV being scheduled to be officially presented to the public for the first time over-seas during the 2012 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit. Rumors are saying that the Fiat 500L for the U.S. market will get different engines than the version already available on the Old Continent.
The U.S. aimed Fiat 500L is expected to get a Dodge Dart based 2.4 liter four-cylinder engine under its hood, with 185 HP and 150 lb-ft, and the lineup will be continued with the turbo version from Abarth, the 160 HP 1.4 liter turbo unit. The Fiat 500L for the U.S. will also get some minor tweaks to its body, which will differentiate it from its European brother. Additional details on the Fiat 500L for the United States will be announced during the 2013 Detroit Motor Show, in January.
