Jaguar will be offering the F-Type V8 S in the all-wheel drive specification only, in the United States.
If you live over-seas and you were hoping to do burnouts and donuts in your brand new Jaguar F-Type, you can forget it, because the company has recently announced that the sports car will be offered in the all-wheel drive specification. The carmaker will cease imports of the rear-wheel drive models and it will focus on selling it as an AWD. Not even the Jaguar F-Type R will not be offered in the rear-wheel drive option.
If you still want to have your F-Type with RWD, you will have to settle for the V6, in either state of tune, equipped with a manual gearbox. Elsewhere outside the United States, the sports car will continue to be offered with either AWD or RWD in all specifications. This will include the 3.0 liter V6, in its two stages of tune 340 HP and 380 HP, and the range topping F-Type V8 S, which is coming with a 5.0 liter V8 engine under its hood, rated at 495 HP and 460 lb-ft of torque. The AWD version has been shown in Los Angeles, earlier this month.
