The first details on the U.S.-spec MINI Cooper 5-door have been released ahead of the model’s debut which will take place next week, during the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show.
With the European version already available for order, MINI is now getting ready to introduce the 5-door Cooper at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show, for the North American automotive market. The model in question is looking identical to the one sold in Europe and it stands at 3,982 – 4,005 mm in length, 1,727 mm in width and 1,425 mm in height, riding on a 2,567 wheelbase. Four non-metallic and nine metallic colors will become available for it.
A variety of options will be offered in the interior, including the MINI Connected infotainment system, the Head-Up Display and so on. As far as the engine lineup goes, this will include the 1.5L 3-cylinder with 134 P (100 kW) and 220 Nm (162 lb-ft) of torque, along with the 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged Cooper S, with its 189 HP (141 kW) and 280 Nm (207 lb-ft) of torque. The model will go on sale in the United States in January and it will be priced from 21,700 USD, without the 850 USD destination charge.
