Toyota has officially announced the availability of the new Mirai fuel cell vehicle starting this summer, across the United States.
In case you are living over-seas and you are interested in a Toyota Mirai, than we have some good news for you because the wait is almost over as the car manufacturer has officially announced its plans to offer it starting this summer. In order to reserve such a vehicle, California residents will have to apply online where Toyota wrote “production of the Mirai is limited and vehicles will be placed with select, eligible customers”. It may not sound too promising if you’re not a famous person but it is worth taking a shot at it.
“Mirai will roll into select Toyota dealerships in the Golden State. Northern California drivers will meet Mirai at San Francisco Toyota, Roseville Toyota, Stevens Creek Toyota or Toyota of Sunnyvale. Farther south, Longo Toyota, Toyota Santa Monica, Toyota of Orange and Tustin Toyota will welcome Mirai customers. These initial dealers were selected based on advanced technology vehicle sales experience and proximity to hydrogen infrastructure”, said the car manufacturer.
The Toyota Mirai is a fuel cell powered vehicle which can run on hydrogen and it can travel for up to 300 miles (483 km), on a full tank. Refilling its tank with hydrogen will take less than 5 minutes. The starting price of the car stands at 57,500 USD, over-seas, but after federal and state incentives will be applied, this will drop to less than 45,000 USD. The model is also coming for 499 USD / month for 36 months with 3,649 USD at signing.
