U.S. – Volkswagen Golf R pre-order sells in just 11 hours image

The Volkswagen Golf R has proven to be one popular vehicle in the United States as the first 500 units have managed to sell in just 11 hours.

A good marketing campaign has led to the selling of all first 500 units of the Volkswagen Golf R in the United States. The announcement has been made by Volkswagen USA News on its official Twitter account.

“In 12 hours the first 500 available 2015 #VWGolfR models were claimed in pre-order! Sign up for the waiting list: vwoa.us/1FuPOqu.”

The first units of the Volkswagen Golf R are all finished in the same Lapiz Blue Metallic and they are getting the navigation system, adaptive damper system, the 6-speed dual clutch transmission and several other items. Prices for the model have been set at 39,090 USD, plus the 820 USD destination charge, but only 500 USD have been required to reserve such a car online. The amount was refundable so if the person backed out, the money wouldn’t have been returned.

The Volkswagen Golf R has standard features which include the SiriusXM Satellite radio, the Bluetooth and iPod support, 5.8-inch touch screen display, push-button start, heated front seats, rearview camera, dual-zone climate control, keyless access and more. Under its hood we can find a 2.0 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine, with 292 HP (218 kW) and 380 Nm (280 lb-ft) of torque, connected to the 6-speed DSG which is sending power to the 4Motion all-wheel drive system.
