Volkswagen has recently announced its plans to introduce the Passat Wolfsburg Edition to the United States, where the model will become available to its future customers starting from 23, 495 USD.
Even if Germany is a long way from the United States, that didn’t stop Volkswagen from announcing its plans to introduce the Passat Wolfsburg Edition over-seas, where the model will go on sale next month, from 23,495 USD.
“Volkswagen of America, Inc., announced today that it will offer a new, value-oriented edition of the Passat starting in mid-2013: the Passat Wolfsburg Edition”, as the automaker is saying in its official press release.
The Volkswagen Passat Wolfsburg Edition will be slotted between the base S and the mid-level SE trims and it will come with features like the heated front seats, perforated leatherette seats, satellite radio, Media Device Interface with iPod cable, a multi function steering wheel, Bluetooth connectivity, power driver’s seat and 16-inch alloy wheels, amongst others. The model will be powered by the company’s 2.5 liter five-cylinder engine, which is good for 170 BHP (127 kW) and 177 lb-ft of torque (240 Nm), mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The Volkswagen Passat Wolfsburg Edition can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in 8.7 seconds.
