The German based automaker Mercedes-Benz has recently announced the official starting price for the 2014 S-Class in the United Kingdom, which has been set from 62,650 GBP.
According to the luxury car manufacturer, the brand new Mercedes-Benz S-Class will set you back for at least 62,650 GBP, in the entry-level SE Line trim, with the standard wheelbase S350 CDI model. The vehicle is also getting the S350 BlueTEC, which is using the 3.0 liter V6 engine, producing a total output of 255 HP and 620 Nm of torque, while returning 51.4 mpg and emitting just 146 g/km of CO2.
Hybrid vehicle lovers can order the S400 Hybrid, which is using a 3.5 liter V6 petrol engine, mated to a 27 HP electric motor. The 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) sprint in this vehicle takes 6.8 seconds. The CO2 emissions stop at 147 g/km. The S400 Hybrid is 4,000 GBP more expensive than the CDI, it’s only available in long wheelbase and it’s also less economical, so you do the math. The top of the line version is the S500 L, which is powered by a 449 HP and 700 Nm of torque 4.7 liter V8 engine, which can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph (100 km/h) in just 4.8 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). Prices for this model start at 88,130 GBP.
