Ford has officially announced the official starting price of the new Mondeo generation across the United Kingdom, where the model in question is currently available for order, as the company is saying.
Almost three years since the concept version has been introduced, the new generation of the Ford Mondeo is finally here and the model has recently went on sale across the United Kingdom. The cheapest version of the vehicle has been priced from 20,795 GBP, sitting actually at 1,500 GBP less than the new Passat.
“The all-new Mondeo is a significant new chapter for one of Europe’s best-known vehicles with a history dating back more than 20 years. Mondeo will make high specification and premium features accessible to even more drivers – including our industry-first Inflatable Rear Seatbelt and Ford’s first LED headlights in Europe”, said the Ford of Europe product development VP, Joe Bakaj.
Ford says that the 2015 Mondeo can be had with just about everything from an 8-inch display for the infotainment system to a heated steering wheel and also with a lot of safety gizmos, such as the Lane Keeping Aid, the Active City Stop, the Pedestrian Detection and so on. Ford didn’t actually go into specifics but the launched vehicle is coming with either the 1.5 liter or the 2.0 liter EcoBoost engines. Diesel lovers will be able to order the 1.6 liter or the 2.0 liter units, and you will also get a 2.0 liter petrol backed up by an electric motor and a 1.4 kWh lithium-ion battery, for a hybrid variant.
