Alfa Romeo has announced a series of updates for the Giulietta hatchback in the United Kingdom.
Ever since the Giulia has been unveiled, a few week back, we haven’t heard anything about a different model coming from Alfa Romeo, but things are about to change as the Giulietta has been the subject of some modifications. According to the car manufacturer, the compact hatchback has received an updated petrol and diesel engine range, in the United Kingdom, as the units are now helping the fuel economy and they are also lowering the CO2 emissions in the process.
Alfa Romeo says that the 1.6 JTDM-2 engine has been updated and in this unit, power has increased from 105 HP to 120 HP. This version has received the low rolling resistance tires and the variable geometry turbocharger and thanks to this, CP2 emissions have dropped from 104 g/km to 99 g/km, while the fuel economy now stands at 3.8l / 100km. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint has been improved by 1.3s to 10.0s and top speed has increased by 10 km/h (6 mph) to 195 km/h (121 mph). Alfa Romeo is stating that all other engines available for the Giulietta in the UK have improved their fuel economy and lowered their CO2 emissions except for the 2.0 JTDM-2 turbo diesel, producing 150 HP. Pricing has remained unchanged and the 1.4 TB 120 HP Progression is available from 18,450 GBP, while the high-spec Business Edition model starts from 19,080 GBP.
