Alfa Romeo has announced that it has started taking orders for the 4C Spider in the United Kingdom.
Good news for Brits on the lookout of a brand new roadster to add to their garage because what is probably the most appealing model in the segment, the Alfa Romeo 4C Spider, is now available for order. According to the car manufacturer, the cheapest version of the model is coming in from 59,400 GBP, on the road, and it is basically following the same path as the solid roof version, coming with a new engine cover, the aluminum roll bar which has been hidden underneath the black “halo”, the projector-style xenon headlights and several other goodies.
The interior design of the brand new Alfa Romeo 4C Spider is brining features such as the air conditioning, the leather wrapped steering wheel, the Alfa Hi Fi sound system, the aluminum trim, the fabric seats and much more. The most important part of the drop-top is definitely found under its hood, where the 1.75 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine is resting. This is capable of producing a total output of 240 HP (176 kW) and 349 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque, being connected to a twin clutch transmission. Alfa Romeo says that the 4C Spider needs less than 4.5 seconds to reach 60 mph (96 km/h) from a standstill and it has a top speed of 160 mph (257 km/h). Prices for the model start from 59,400 GBP, on-the-road.
