While having crossover traits doesn’t really bode well with enhanced dynamics, the German automaker has still decided to deliver to the United Kingdom the new A6 Allroad Sport.
This is actually only the flagship version of the crossover wagon, with the A6 Allroad Sport sporting standard LED headlights with a high beam assist function that can dip the beam on itself if oncoming traffic is detected. The A6 Allroad Sport also features privacy glass, heated / folding mirrors, and new 19-inch alloy wheels sporting a matte titanium coating. Naturally changes outside and inside have been seriously toned down since we’re not dealing with a facelifted version – and anyways Audi hasn’t been known for having a love for serious modifications anyways. The cabin has therefore only gained Valcona leather sport seats and Alcantara door inserts. The station wagon also comes nicely equipped with a navigation infotainment system, a four-zone climate control system and the Audi Music Interface.
Power is provided by three different options: the 3.0-liter V6 TDI comes in either 218 PS (160 kW) or 272 PS (200 kW) guises and the stronger 3.0-liter BiTDI churns out a massive 320 PS (235 kW) and 650 Nm (479 lb-ft) of torque. The latter top option has been mated to an eight-speed tiptronic transmission and the standard quattro all-wheel drive system for spectacular figures: 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 5.5 seconds and a limited maximum speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). Order books for the A6 Allroad Sport have been opened in the UK and the model starts from 49,455 British pounds (OTR).
