The new Kia Optima starts at 19.595 GBP in the United Kingdom, as the South Korean based automaker has recently announced.
The new generation of the Kia Optima is here with major automotive events going on these days on three continents, the South Korean based automaker has decided to launch its model in the UK. The British division of Kia has recently announced that the new Optima model can be bought in the UK for a starting price of 19.595 GBP. According to the car manufacturer, the 2012 Kia Optima is coming in three trim levels, 1, 2 and 3, with the second one going as “luxe” and “tech” too.
The 2012 Kia Optima for UK is being launched with the 1.7 liter diesel engine which is developing a total output of 130 horsepower at 4.000 rpm and it has a peak torque of 325 Nm (239 lb-ft), available between 2.000 and 2.500 rpm. The unit can be mated to a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission, and if you choose the manual you also get the stop & go system and a few aerodynamic tweaks, along with a modified ECU and climate control system, all of these aimed at reducing the fuel consumption.
According to the car manufacturer, the 2012 Kia Optima will be delivered to dealers around UK starting with February 1st. The entry-level version of the Kia Optima has been priced at 19.595 GBP while the top of the line variant costs 25.995 GBP.
