A higher specification Chilli trim has been introduced by Kia on the Picanto city cruiser in the United Kingdom.
The 2015 Kia Picanto has recently received a higher specification trim level in the United Kingdom, in the shape of the Chilli. The model in question is available with more equipment which includes the 7-inch touch screen display as the one seen in the Rio, the 6-speaker sound system, the satellite navigation system and several other goodies which should make it popular with its future buyers.
“The Chilli versions are the first Picantos to be fitted with satellite navigation including European mapping, similar to the system found in Kia’s Rio and Venga ranges. This is linked to a seven-inch touchscreen and includes a reversing camera. A six-speaker audio system is also standard”, says the carmaker in its official press release.
The new Kia Picanto Chilli has also received the black, white and red body colors, along with the twin exhaust tailpipe, the body colored sill mouldings, the 15-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels with 175/50 tires and so on. The faux leather seats with a black look, the aluminum pedals, steering wheel bezel and others can also be found on the city cruiser. The model is only available with the 1.2 liter naturally aspirated gasoline burner, which is capable of putting down a total output of 84 HP (63 kW) and 120 Nm (89 lb-ft) of torque. The unit, which is Euro 6 compliant, is connected to a 5-speed manual transmission in standard or to an optional 4-speed automatic. Prices start from 11,495 GBP for the manual and 12,095 GBP for the automatic.
