Toyota’s luxury brand Lexus has officially announced the introduction of a new engine for its premium compact crossover, the NX, in the United Kingdom.
The Japanese based automaker Toyota has officially announced its plans to introduce a new engine to the Lexus NX in the UK. The model in question will be called the NX 200t and it will be starting from 38,095 GBP, joining the NX 300h hybrid, which will be setting you back for 29,495 GBP, on the road. Lexus says that the “new” NX will start its customer deliveries this March, so waiting for you brand new model shouldn’t take that long.
The new Lexus NX 200t will be packing in a 2.0 liter turbo engine under its hood, which is capable of producing a total output of 235 HP (173 kW), available between 4,800 rpm and 5,600 rpm, and a peak torque of 350 Nm (258 lb-ft) of torque, available from just 1,650 rpm. All this power is being sent to the wheels through a standard six-speed automatic transmission, which is helping the model return 35.8 mpg UK and to emit 183 g/km of CO2.
The petrol version will be offered only in the F Sport trim level and it will be getting standard Dynamic Torque Control AWD, mesh spindled grille, black finish side mirrors, 18-inch alloy wheels, headlights with high and low beam functions, heated electric leather front seats with lumbar support, suspension with performance dampers, power tailgate, wireless smartphone charger, electric steering column adjustment, rear privacy glass, parking sensors, LED fog lamps, rearview camera, Media Display, 8 airbags and much more.
