Lexus has announced the introduction of the new RX in the United Kingdom.
According to Toyota’s luxury brand, the cheapest version of the RX offered for sale in the UK will be the 200t S, from 39,995 GBP. This will be followed by the 200t Luxury, from 45,995 GBP and the 200t F Sport, from 48,995 GBP. For the 450h SE, customers will have to pay 46,995 GBP and this is followed by the 450h Luxury, coming from 49,995 GBP and the 458h F Sport, from 52,995 GBP. The range-topping model is the RX 458 Premier and this will be setting you back for 57,995 GBP.
The entry-level RX200t is said to be offered in two-wheel and all-wheel drive versions and the new RX450h will be making use of a full hybrid powertrain, made from a 3.5 liter V6 petrol burner, with 295 HP, and two electric motors, producing a total output of 308 HP. This version is claiming to return 54.3 mpg UK and to emit 120 g/km of CO2. The RX350 is bringing a fresh 2.0 liter turbocharged petrol burner, connected to a six-speed automatic, and the RX200t is bringing 234 HP and 350 Nm of torque. Lexus says that the 4WD petrol modes are using the Dynamic Torque Control AWD system which can power the rear axle up to 50/50 torque distribution. Some of the goodies found on the new RX range include the specific illumination for the instrument panel and doors, the drilled aluminum pedals, the perforated leather upholstery, large head-up display, Pre-Crash Safety, pedestrian warning, sat-nav and so on.
