The quirky yet somehow enticing C4 Cactus – a model that is modern yet recalls the feeling of old and interesting Citroens – now has the Rip Curl special edition available in the UK from £18, 480.

The model is set to reach British dealerships starting next month and while the design and implications speak about surfing and not being caught in the boring urban life, the price is certainly not really hippie-related. Going for at least £18,480, the special edition of the crossover can be had with a smallish 1.2-liter turbo gasoline engine delivering 110 horsepower. In case you would rather go the diesel way, the 100 hp 1.6-liter diesel will set you back at least £19,210. And by the way, if you’re checking up the competition you might want to take a look at the Dacia Duster – which can also be bought as a 4×4 and still cost less. Renault is also a Rip Curl aficionado – Modus, Kangoo, Twingo (past generation) and Dacia Sandero Stepway for the South American market had Rip Curl treatments as well.

The C4 Cactus Rip Curl comes with a catchy treatment: Obsidian Black and Arctic Steel metallics, Pearl White pearlescent, Sport Red and Tapenade Grey as available colors. Then there are bespoke graphics on the front fenders and D-pillars, as well as the 17-inch diamond cut Cross alloy wheels, white roof rails, and side mirror casings. The cabin is adorned with orange detailing on the carpet mats, seatbelts, and audio speakers.
