Italian automaker Maserati on Thursday said that the company will bring the most powerful car in its range, the GranTurismo MC Stradale at Salon Privé event at Syon Park.
Maserati says the two-place GranTurismo MC Stradale was “inspired by” the Trofeo GranTurismo MC and the GT4 and is intended as a street-legal performance car that can also be driven on the track.
The special edition GranTurismo MC Stradale is powered by a 4.2 liter V8 engine that delivers 450 HP – an improvement over the standard 405 HP – while still offering the same fuel consumption as a standard Gran Turismo. The 0-100km/h drag is 4.6 seconds. Quick but in no way qualifying as a supercar.
This car also comes with an improved aerodynamic down force and will brake the 186 mph barrier. Around 80 per cent of the maximum torque arrives at just 2, 500rpm, meaning it doesn’t just perform near the 7,500rpm red line, it’s flexible enough for everyday use too.
The sports car will go on sale in the first quarter of 2011 at a price of 154,721 euro (around $205,000 at the current exchange rates). We’d let you know the US prices, but the MC Stradale won’t be available on our side of the pond.
For those who want to attend at the event – they need to know that tickets start from £175 + VAT and are fully inclusive of Pommery Champagne, Lobster Luncheon and afternoon teas as well as access all areas.
Tickets can purchased via the Salon Privé website www.salonprivelondon.com, or by calling the ticket hotline +44 (0) 808 100 2205.
