The recently unveiled McLaren 570S will become available to order from 143, 250 GBP in the United Kingdom, similar to a Porsche 911 Turbo S.
The McLaren 570S is the first “sport series” model to be produced by the British brand and this has been introduced at the 2015 New York Auto Show. The vehicle will be priced from 143, 250 GBP, in the United Kingdom, becoming more expensive than an Audi R8 V10 Plus, which starts from 137,500 GBP, and even a Porsche 911 Turbo S, which costs 142,120 GBP.
The sports car is packing a 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 engine under its hood, which is also used on the entire McLaren lineup, in various outputs, rated at 570 HP (419 kW) at 7,400 rpm and 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque, available between 5,000 rpm and 6,500 rpm. This is connected to a 7-speed SSG transmission, powering the rear wheels. The 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint takes 3.2 seconds and top speed is 328 km/h (204 mph).
By comparison, the Audi R8 V10 Plus is using a 5.2 liter V10 FSI engine, also found under the hood of the Lamborghini Huracan, producing 610 HP (449 kW) and 650 Nm (413 lb-ft) of torque. From 0 to 100 km/h (^2 mph), the vehicle needs 3.2s and top speed is 330 km/h (205 mph). The Porsche 911 Turbo S has a 3.8 liter flat six-cylinder twin-turbo engine, with 552 HP (406 kW) and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque, enough for a 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) sprint made in 3.1 seconds and a top speed of 312 km/h (194 mph).
