Mitsubishi has officially announced a series of updates for its compact crossover, the ASX, on the UK auto market.
The 2016 Mitsubishi ASX is getting updated in the United Kingdom and even if the carmaker is getting ready to officially pull the wraps off its successor sometimes next year, the model in question is still trying to become more appealing to its future customers.
“The ASX comes with five year warranty, 12 year anti-corrosion perforation warranty, three year pan-European roadside, home and accident assistance. Servicing on the ASX range is 12,500 miles or 12 months, whichever occurs first. The Mitsubishi Service Plan (MSP) is also available for the additional cost of £450 on the 1.6 petrol and 1.6 diesel variants and £675 on the 2.2 diesel variant”, says the automaker in the press release.
Some of the goodies added to the 2016 Mitsubishi ASX include the 18-inch alloy wheels, with a two-tone finish, the updated wheel arches, the leather wrapped multi-function steering wheel introduced on the entry-level variant and several other tweaks. Under the hood, the model has received a new engine, in the shape of a 1.6 liter turbo diesel unit, capable of producing a total output of 112 HP (83 kW). According to the car manufacturer, the engine is connected to the optional all-wheel drive system through a 6-speed manual transmission. The CO2 emissions stop at 119 g/km and the unit is meeting the Euro 6 emission standards. No pricing details on the vehicle have been announced so far.
