UK Police gets new Ford Focus ST image

The United Kingdom Police has recently took delivery of one new Ford Focus ST, which will help the law enforcement catch more criminals.

According to the car manufacturer, the Ford Focus ST in question, “adopted” by the UK Police department, is a one-off which has been developed by SVP (Ford Special Vehicle Preparations) in Earls Colne, Essex.

“With the Ford Focus ST being seen so publicly on cinema screens nationwide, the timing for this ‘official’ version couldn’t be better. At the NAPFM show we displayed the car’s crime-fighting talents to police transport managers and took bookings for demonstrations”, said the Ford Direct Sales Manager for Police, Fire and Ambulance, Terry Adams.

As a quick reminder, the new generation of the Ford Focus STis powered by the 2.0 liter EcoBoost four-cylinder turbocharged engine, which is developing a total output of 247 horsepower and it has a peak torque of 265 lb-ft. The hot hatch’s engine is mated to a six-speed manual transmission which is allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 6.5 seconds, before reaching a top speed of 155 mph. Prices for the 2013 Ford Focus ST in the United States start at 24,495 USD.
