The German based automaker Volkswagen has recently announced the added R-Line to the Passat lineup in the United Kingdom.
According to the car manufacturer, the Volkswagen Passat R-Line is now getting a 15 mm lowered suspension, compared to the Passat S, along with a small bootlid spoiler on the sedan, a tailgate spoiler on the estate, the dark tinted rear windows, the extra chrome trim, the fresh set of 18-inch Kansas alloy wheels, the more prominent front bumper, including the front fog lights, the larger rear bumper, the extended side skirts, the LED taillights, the LED daytime running lights and some other minor tweaks to complete the look.
The new Volkswagen Passat R-Line is also coming with a DAB radio, with Bluetooth, USB, AUX, a leather wrapped steering wheel and paddle shifters if the DSG transmission is chosen. The R-Line can be ordered with a 1.4 liter engine producing 158 BHP, mated to either a six-speed manual or a seven-speed DSG transmission, with a 1.6 liter diesel with 104 BHP, with a six-speed manual transmission, and with a 2.0 liter 138 BHP with both options. The 1.4L version is replacing the old 1.8L petrol. All models get the auto start/stop feature. Prices for the sedan R-Line start at 22,470 GBP and for the estate at 23,880 GBP.
