The French car manufacturer Renault has announced the prices for the Clio Gordini in UK, which is available in two versions.
The 200 horsepower flagship was left aside by the auto maker and it is offering a Clio Gordini which appears to step away from its ancestors. The “pocket-rocket” is available in the United Kingdom in two versions, both in three-door form, with a 1.6 liter petrol engine and a 1.5 diesel.
According to the manufacturer the 1.6 liter VVT will replace the Clio GT, which will be phased out. The 200 HP flagship is far away from what the petrol has to offer, 128 horsepower to be more on the subject. Performance is not mind-blowing as you would expect but it isn’t slow either. The 1.6 liter Clio Gordini takes 9.3 seconds to hit 62 mph from a standstill and has an impressive 42.2 mpg fuel consumption in a combined cycle.
Keeping up with its times, the diesel version is emitting only 110g of CO2 and has a fuel consumption of 62.8 mpg on a combined cycle, all of this coming from the 1.5 dCi engine which is developing 106 HP.
The 1.6 liter version of the Clio Gordini is priced at 14.000 pounds and for the diesel variant future customers will have to pay almost 1.000 pounds more.
